As someone who has always been interested in the edges and overlaps of my industry, I quickly discovered what a lonely space it can be. How do I keep going when people don't 'get' what I do?
By definition you end up in a professional minority or niche. It's harder to get buy in from mainstream peers and can feel like a battle to keep your spirits and self belief up. (At least that's been my experience),
I created this offering for us because, without us professional progress is limited to the confines of a box which often means patients go without the necessary treatment just because they have symptoms that have popped up on the fringe.
If we don't have places where we can be supported, mentored and feel safe to build a solid confidence in our unique skills, quite honestly our patients and our profession will lose out!!!
